50ml Campari
50ml Sweet vermouth (Rosso)
50ml Gin
Ice
Orange peel
Soda water (optional)

I first had this cocktail along with its less alcoholic older brother the Americano in a hotel bar in Geneva. It’s bitter cocktail perfect before a meal, but try and have only one before you eat as it packs a punch.

Shake the Campari, vermouth, gin and some ice in a cocktail shaker for a few seconds and pour over ice. Use a potato peeler to peel a large chunk of orange rind and add to the drink.  You can add soda water to make it into a “long” drink.
